Jon Haigwood Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 A great talent the video at the above link is worth the watch.
Gramps46 Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 I have followed Michael online and through his books for a number of years now. He and his imagination will be missed.

Anglia105E Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 I kind of thought in my own mind that Michael Paul Smith would be around for many years to come....... so it is with great sadness that I hear of his passing, only eight days ago. The world has lost an extremely talented man, and not just the scale model world but the wider community worldwide. His work will be viewed and studied for many years I'm sure and we can all learn something about the whole concept of Elgin Park........ This sad news has made me realise that I must continue, in my own small way, to try and create something that more than likely will never get anywhere near the monumental achievement that Michael has left behind for us to enjoy...... you have set the bar very high Mr Smith........ OldTrucker Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 A real loss. The wife and I really enjoyed looking at his work.
89AKurt Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Sad to find this out. But as my undocumented wife's husband was fond of saying while fighting a brain tumor for 6 years, "life's not for everyone." That's why we must make the most with the cards we are dealt. He didn't drive, now that's a trip!
