Sport Suburban Posted January 6, 2019 Author Posted January 6, 2019 Thanks everyone. This one came out awesome and the redlines are the kit issued tires! My only problem was buying up a bunch of builders to get all the parts. I had a resin 67 from F&F, resin Mini Exotics 67 and a resin Mini Exotics 68 GTE. Along with 2 67 rebuilders, this 68 rebuilder and another unbuilt 68 that I scored for $100 only missing the tail light lenses but I had some! Some of the resin I had a long time and this is the first one that I finally built!

RAMBENNA Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 wow fantastic save, this car is awesome looking. great job
Tiger89 Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Beautiful, I had an unbuilt '68 kit for a couple years before finally finishing it early last year. I couldn't stand that engine bay, so grafted the front frame section from Revell's '68 Mustang. That was my first attempt at a vinyl top. It's a replica of my real '68 302 XR7, except I used the big block 390 in the kit. Btw, Mercury never offered a passenger-side mirror, not even as a dealer accessory, but one was made up by Scott Drake about 10 years ago, and it's really needed in modern traffic. Finishing up a '69 Eliminator 428, so once it's done, I'll post a couple pics with the '68.
DPNM Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 (edited) Your Cougar turned out exceptionally well Raoul. Very nice!!! Brought back memories. My first car was a '67 Cougar, bought used around 1973. Seeing yours, now I need to find a model to replicate it. Edited January 11, 2019 by DPNM
Tommy124 Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Lovely restoration! I like the BMF job you did on the lettering.
