mrmike Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 I was influenced by David G. and his 1971 Dodge Charger to pull this '71 Hemi Charger R/T off the shelf, clean it up, and take some pictures of it. This is the AMT '71 Charger R/T built about 10 years ago with some changes. It is painted with Model Master Green-Go lacquer paint with a white bucket seat interior with 4-speed Hurst Pistol-Grip Shifter, console and "Tuff" steering wheel. I replaced the kit wheels and tires with a larger set of wheels from a Monogram Plymouth, wide Goodyear tires from my parts box, and a Ross Gibson 426 Hemi engine donated by a good friend of mine, and aluminium tubing for exhaust tips. The front wheels were re-located to correctly space them in the wheel wells.
Hmann68 Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 The larger tires and your front adjustment make the car look great. Something about the stance of this kit always looked off to me, but yours is spot on! Nice job
David G. Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 Nicely Done! I'll have mine ready soon. David G.
