Pat Minarick Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Started building this in 2012 , I've had lots of set backs on it .I think it was painted three times , the hood cracked a couple times trying to polish the paint out. I molded the hood in to make it stronger. Hope this fixes the problems with the hood . Going with a tilt front end. I'm only working on started projects, this one is next . It's getting finished even if it's an barn find custom.
1930fordpickup Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 I recall this one Pat. I am glad it has been moved to the front of the line.
Sledsel Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Looks cool... first I have seen it. I am with you... working on started kits myself.
Koellefornia Kid Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Always like to see Monkee Mobile conversions! I think this kit has a lot of potential for wild custom projects. Built mine as a hardtop coupe a couple of years ago but I really like the station wagon idea! Nice wheel choice, too! Hope to see it finished soon!
espo Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 I like the wagon conversion idea. What did you use for the basic roof shape ??

Thanks. I have a built Monkeey kit I got as a door prize years ago. While it was built to a high standard I think I would like to do something different with it. Your wagon idea looks appealing so I'll be watching your build.
Pat Minarick Posted March 16, 2019 Author Posted March 16, 2019 With the nose being so long on the front of this , made it difficult to build a hinge . But I think I figured it out.
gearhedjon Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Pat I remembered this kit you started. I'm glad you are going to finish it. You did such good work on it already.
Slotto Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 So Looooooong! I love it. Great job with the hood hinge.
DrKerry Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Very kool Pat!! Looks kind of similar to one a friend of mine started! Keep it going!!
dimebolt Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 I remember when you started this build Pat. Excellent work so far. Glad to see you're working towards finishing it.
