For anyone (like me) who's been waiting for these two to make a return, and baulking at high eBay prices meanwhile, looks like they're being re-released this summer and are now available for pre-order:

Nice ! The listing says real sports car, are these the same as the old enthuisast kits ?

Yes. There were never "dumbed down" versions of those two kits.

I believe they will be simplified reissues - like their Dino 246 and their Countach  kits which had about half as much parts  as the enthusiast models had (about 115 instead of more than 250 IIRC).

For instance, the RS Dino kit has lower engine components molded into the floor pan, It does not include a detailed engine, just the exhaust tubes and oil sump; so you have to glue the engine cover shut = a very detailed but nevertheless curbside kit.

I expect those 911 Porsches to be of the same kind.

I've been looking for the 'R' model for some time but never pulled the trigger (thankfully).  I checked one of the Japan sites I order from and the description stated the engine can be assembled in the car or displayed on a stand.  Hopefully that's correct so we're getting the full EM series release.

Your belief is incorrect, there were never simplified kits of the 356s, Ferrari 288 GTO, 365s or early 911s (pre-1985s) done. The original EM Series was done between 1985-1988. The simplified 85 911s, Countachs and Dinos were done about 10 years later.

Fujimi has retired the Enthusiast Series name and has released the all of the 911s (except these two) the Countachs, the Dinos, 288 GTO, BMW 635, and 365 GTBs under their catch-all Real Sports Car line over the past 5 years.

They reissue the 356 regularly, quite often actually. every few years they run a serie.

The 356s haven't been reissued in 17 years, they're a bit overdue at this point. With the 60s 911s getting a run, they're the only EM kits that haven't been reissued in the most recent go-around at this point.

That's what I was thinking ....I've been looking for a long time to buy a 356 fujimi kit and I can't found one for a good price....maybe Fujimi will hear us and run some reissue....

The Dino Spyder in Regular series uses a different body mold than the one in the Enthusiast series. It has a separate front lower body that has to be installed after the chassis and body are mated due to the way the underbody is molded. That makes for a problem as it leaves a seam where the pieces mate that isn't on the real car.

At this point the EM series Dino has been reissued under the Real Sports too, you have to pay attention to the number of parts called out on the box lid.
