PierreR89 Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 Decided to pick up this dead kenworth build that i have had standing for to long (and it was getting in the way on my workbench, the trailer was also a stalled build) I think i was going to build it as a regular nothing special truck, but then changed my mind and it became the truck from smokey and the bandit. I think it turned out okey even if there are alot of things that are not as the real one.
Force Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 (edited) Nice. It doesn't have to be dead on perfect to be a good shelf model...and everyone will for sure recognize it anyway. ? East bound and down loaded up and truckin'... ? Edited August 9, 2019 by Force
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 Looks Great!! I'm sure those decals were a bit tedious, but look great!
Jim B Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Very nice representation of Snowman's truck. Well done.
PierreR89 Posted August 15, 2019 Author Posted August 15, 2019 Thanks. The decals were not that bad, the worst for me was having to cut them out really close to the edges. Everyone that sees it will recognize it, they may not remeber exactly what truck was used but they remember black/gold truck and that paintjob on the trailer. Or they will recognize the Trans Am that is going to be standing next to the truck once i have built that one.
tbill Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Great build, this combo is on my to do list .........., someday, lol.

Plashdaddy Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Cool, thank you. With postage and the current exchange rate they become a pricey thing to get to Australia, just wanted to confirm they’re worth it, which they obviously are.
Trendsetta68 Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 That's an awesome combination build, great job !!!

I think postage is included in his prices because i just ordered them and paid what it said on his site and then they arrived. well almost, first set did the postoffice manage to loose (still lost..) so they never arrived but the replacements he sent out did arrive.
Plashdaddy Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Neat. I ordered a set after your response, and they ended up being $77 AU delivered, but they look great and include everything by the looks, thanks for your replies it was a help
PierreR89 Posted September 5, 2019 Author Posted September 5, 2019 They have everything and you will get some left over to. The gold stripes on the front and rear doors of the trailer you get 3-4sets left over. The reefer unit if you want to have one on the trailer also have a couple of extra stripes for it. There are a few other stripes that you also get left over. So there was no real worrying about screwing up a stripe or 4?. Only ones you dont get extras of are the main ones on the truck and the trailerwalls.
gatorincebu Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 Well done ! looking for the Bandiot to come round the corner anytime now ! Be Well Gator
