I haven't bought that version but I have a parts kit of the 57 Ford Custom (two tone blue car and black car on box cover) missing the engine and some small parts. I don't believe the version I have has the Gasser front suspension, but I could be wrong.

I also am currently building the gasser wagon version as a stock wagon. Both of these kits are nice. I highly recommend this series. The wagon has practically fallen together.

Chris at hpiguys workshop on YouTube has built the version you are asking about. He does a kit review and build. Great way to see what's in the box. Looks like a great kit.

I am looking for a couple more of the outside mirrors to use as bases for a scratchbuilt roof rack, if anyone is building the gasser version and is not using the outside door mirror.

Again, great kits. Highly recommended.

A few years back I built a gasser out of the Revell '57 Ford Custom kit using a big block Ford engine from some other kit and adapting the gasser front suspension from there '41 Willys kit. I also added bucket seats, moon tank, custom decals, etc. Here's a photo of it.................

Oh, wow! Thanks guys for posting those...?? I do have the gasser wagon kit that I haven't started on yet but I will soon.... Guess I'll be ordering the new sedan kit soon and build both at the same time.... I might even stuff a revell t'bolt high riser 427 in one of those.... We'll see what happens.... ☺️?

Looks great! I need to figure out what parts are missing from mine and build it as a gasser. I know it will need an engine. The Tbolt engine would be a good idea. I should pick up one of the new releases too.

I have the wagon and haven't gotten the sedan yet either but it's on my list. I'll do them both stock most likely. I'm glad to hear they are nice kits to build.

This kit is just the '57 Custom with the Gasser parts out of the wagon. The only new parts in it are the inner fender well pieces which allow the headers to pass through.

Thanks!...... I was just going through the wagon gasser kit and also through my parts box gathering parts for an fe engine build.... I just hope it'll look good when completed..... I was just surprised there was no mention about this kit anywhere on the forum.... Seems like it came out months ago....

I have all the '57 Fords except for this one. I will probably get  2 or 3 when I see them or from Ebay.  This is a nice series of kits, but  I will be swapping motors for any gasser builds because I think the Y block just doesn't fit for that style car. As others have said and done,  the FE Ford is the obvious choice, but a vintage small block Ford or SOHC would be cool or you could go with GM or Mopar motors too. I was thinking perhaps a Cadillac, maybe the one from the '59 El Camino,  just to be different......

Or you could drop the T-Bolt engine in it, leave the front suspension alone and run A or B/MP.  I have the Wagon kit, really need to get some stuff cleared off my bench so I can start a bunch more stuff.
