OldNYJim Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 That color works really well on there! It kinda reminds me of a cal-look Beetle or something - very surfy-looking of a color, but looks great on something sportier too!
iamsuperdan Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Awesome. Very close to the Miami Blue that Porsche currently offers.
porschercr Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 (edited) That's not Yellow.... Looks great JC. Trevor Edited March 1, 2020 by porschercr
afx Posted March 1, 2020 Author Posted March 1, 2020 Glad you like to color gentlemen. Mine isn't quite the same shade, but this was the inspiration.
STYRENE-SURFER Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 JC, when I saw that color it reminded me of the old IROC series cars. Looks great.

Straightliner59 Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 I dig the color! No reason all Porsches need to be red, silver, yellow or black. I did Monogram's old snapper 911 RSR in bright pearl pink! I've heard a few choice comments, over the years, for that. ?

afx Posted March 5, 2020 Author Posted March 5, 2020 Glad you guys approve of the color. Paint is curing ahead of detail painting of the body.
afx Posted September 1, 2020 Author Posted September 1, 2020 Working on detail painting of the body, update soon.
afx Posted September 2, 2020 Author Posted September 2, 2020 Thanks Ray. Got the black trim finished.
dublin boy Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Nice work on the black trim JC, I always find it tricky on a 911.
afx Posted September 2, 2020 Author Posted September 2, 2020 Thanks Shay. I did the window trim with Sharpie and a very fine point calligraphy pen. The tail and side trim was masked and air brushed.
dublin boy Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Yep, the last one I did was Ink and paint too. Didn't come out that nice! lol
Dann Tier Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 WOW!...even more amazing considering how you did them!!!! -outstanding, Bud!!!!
afx Posted September 12, 2020 Author Posted September 12, 2020 Thank you gentlemen. Calling this one done.
simonr Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 (edited) Excellent built...What chassis you used?...It looks like it has a built in lower part of both the transmition and the engine block. What size of plastic tubing you used for both, the roll bar and engine parts? ...Please, let me know... Edited March 9, 2021 by simonr

Please, let me know... Thank you Simon. Fujimi has issued several of their Porsche 911 kits as curbsides with the bottom half of the engine molded in-place. I like to use those chassis, suspension and interior tubs to simplify the build process and add the detailed EM (Enthusiast) kit parts to them. This thread will give you an idea which kit where issued as curbside kits. https://race-car-models.proboards.com/thread/1173/fujimi-enthusiast-kits
