carsntrucks4you Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 This is the last for 2019 Autoquiz. As usual sent a PM with Year, Make and Type
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Hmmmmm...I've seen a lot of cars, either in the flesh or in photos, but I've never seen one of those. Interesting little guy.
stitchdup Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 I've found some pretty close cars but not this one. Pretty sure I know what country its from though, lol
carsntrucks4you Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 After the rotary powered Mazda REPU from last week i was looking for an other car that was powered by a rotary engine. It was the first car that was sold with a rotary engine the 1964 - 1967 NSU Spider. The car on the picture was build in1965. The correct answer were sent in from Richard Bartrop GeeBee ChrisR dw1603 sjordan2 Earl Marischall Congratulations
matthijsgrit Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Never would have guessed that. Nice little car!
ChrisR Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 NSU was a German brand and later incorporated into Audi.
wisdonm Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 They were made in Neckelzum Germany. I actually road raced an NSU Spyder once and a NSU 1000Tts many times. The Tts looked like a 3/4 scale 1960 Corvair and was powered by an inline, air cooled, 4 cylinder Mammouth Motorcycle engine made by Munch.
Richard Bartrop Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 THe Syder is a handsome little machine. So is the Sport Prinz it's based on.

Bucky Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Looks like I need to brush up on the German automotive industry! LoL

I think you will find that the Munch Mammoth used an in-line air cooled 4 cylinder overhead cam engine made by NSU. ? Edited January 6, 2020 by dw1603 Spelling
Richard Bartrop Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) I first found out about this car in an old issue of Popular Science. Edited January 6, 2020 by Richard Bartrop
