Thanks guys! The wheels are from the AMT "Super Boss" kit. The tires are from KJ at Double Take and in "my opinion" these were the best drive tires for a vintage rig on the market, but are sadly no loner available.
Tesla Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Looks absolutely terrific!! I commend you on the airline details you've added. Someday I'll try doing that.

It will be a replica of a truck that my dad drove when I was a kid and I rode a lot of miles in this one too. Standard AMT kit, 8v-71T Detroit. Five hole steel drive wheels. The truck that I'm replicating had 10 hole hubcaps on the front, so I will go with 10 hole wheels. Front bumper, fans, and intake stack from Double Take Replicas. Five hole steel wheels on the trailer too. I'll be using one of these for the truck. This Ertl kit for the trailer. All those cab overs!!!! Whimper whimper ? Edited March 15, 2020 by DrKerry
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted March 25, 2020 Author Posted March 25, 2020 Thanks for the comments guys!! The truck is now basically done, now on to the trailer.
DrKerry Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 Very nice!! Like the color choice on it.. looks very nice...

All the trucks this company owned were painted this way. If I'm not mistaken they even had a Model A Ford painted these colors. On 3/25/2020 at 7:04 PM, Vettegasser said: Another awesome build !!!! Thanks! On 3/26/2020 at 7:02 AM, KJ790 said: That looks great! Thanks KJ! I managed to get a few parts from one of the best K100 builders around for this build, and a lot of inspiration from the same source. On 3/26/2020 at 7:49 AM, JerseeJerry55 said: Very nicely done. I like this a lot. Thanks man! On 3/26/2020 at 9:42 AM, gotnitro? said: Stunning build , perfect color Thanks Jeff! These KWs were owned by Wilco Truck Rental. This one had been leased to Monkey Grip (yellow and red trucks) and had a fresh paint job, frame and all on it when my dad got it. I wanted it to be pretty fresh looking.
