Trying to replicate my 95 Porsche 993.  Here are some pictures of my work in process.   I bought the Burago metal kit to get the Cup 2 wheels.

I just need to stay on this!   So far it is going together okay.  The Burago wheels are a weird offset on the front so working on that.  The wheels that come with this kit and the Revell kit (cabrio) are not correct for a 993.  The overall body shape is pretty good though.  Thanks

Adventurine Green is great color. Wheels are huge issue for these. I've got a Cab and a Turbo, Maisto Boxster wheels in Turbo box but odd offset too.

Great garageful.

Almost bought one of these kits the other day. Will be following closely. I know a lot of people use the Tamiya GT2 headlights for this.

Thanks for that tip.

Another picture.  Working in trying to get the body smoothed out and spraying some suspension pieces.  Yes I am working at our kitchen table!

So working on the chassis and trying to sand out the mold lines in the body.   Got my paint and planning on finishing up the chassis this weekend.

So using Burago Porsche 993 cup 2 wheels for the car.  The problem is they have holes in the middle where there should be center caps.  I kind of at a loss at what to use for center caps.  Thought about just using Tamiya filler but not sure how messy that would become.  Anyhow any recommendations would be helpful. I have Porsche emblems to cover whatever center cap I end up using.    Thanks

That looks like a pretty nice kit, might have to track one down.

It does have a good shape.  The chassis is really for a 964 and the wheels that come with it are also for a 964.  I bought one of the metal Burago 993 kits for the wheels because they are the same that I have on my 1:1 car.  This is the only 1:24 scale except for the Tamiya GT2 kit, so you kind of got to go with what works.  I think the 993 chassis off of the Tamiya Gt2 kit is much more accurate but didn't really want that kind of adventure merging the two.  Thanks love your Yellow bird you are doing!

I would think that a piece of styrene rod the right diameter  would do. Cut off the right width with a sharp razor blade and glue it in with craft glue. Paint silver and decal it.

That is a good idea.  Thank you!

Sometimes the obvious eludes us. It often takes an outside perspective  to see what we don't.  You were wise to ask for help and I was just as happy to provide it.

Finally getting some work done today.  I am closer on the body but still have the from hood to work on.  Primed the interior and will painting it a light grey.  The interior is actually for a 964 not a 993 but nobody would really know that anyhow thanks for looking
