1988 Davey Allison Havoline Thunderbird. Powerslide decals a mix of Tamiya and urethane paints, custom mixed gray for the roll cage, body fits terrible on the chassis, Detail Mastwr fittings, Model Car Garage brake rotors, Pro Tech braided line and some other details

This looks fantastic.  I have yet to build one of the 87/88 T-Birds.  Any tips on improving the body fitment?

Build the rollcage before paint, tape it the the chassis and test fit it. I hacked out most of the top of the cage. Found it unneccessary. Seems as though it's the wheel well/ crush panel area on the chassis

I`ve never been a fan of the more modern style of Nascar racers BUT, this is outstanding! Would like to see a side shot showing stance but I`d bet it`s spot on! Nice work!

Great job on this kit. I bet it feels good to go through some terrible fitting parts and come out the other side with a great looking build.

And those gold decals!  ?

I still followed NASCAR back then and Davey and Robert Yates were my favorites and this was easily one of the best looking cars on the track every week .  Yours is the very best build of tis race car I've ever seen !  Congrats on a job very well done !
