Plymouth front end with Dodge rear Quarters. The rear actually looks better, to me anyway, than the one used on the Plymouth.

This is what is referred to as a Canadian "Plodge".

A '61 Dodge body with a Plymouth Front clip and interior.

I have found no evidence that this example actually existed, but it was a common practice to combine Dodge and Plymouth parts in Canada to create their own unique cars during this time frame, much like the Chevy/Pontiac conglomerations.

Anyway, it looks cool as hell!!

Pretty sure that particular car was proven fake. 

But if you want one I can do the surgery if you can provide the raw material. ?

I could do one myself if I could find suitable donors of the back half of a Johan '61 Dodge, and the front of a '61 Plymouth without breaking the bank.

I've drooled over this car for quite some time and it remains an intriguing concept for visitation in the future if I find myself with nothing else to do.

I agree.

In my view, the swooping lines around the headlights of the Plymouth are a much better match with the similar shape around the tail light of the Dodge than either one of these cars had alone.

Both the '61 Plymouth and the Dodge looked completely mismatched front to rear in my opinion.

AFAIK, the Plodges stopped after 1959, after that it was full-size Dodges with Plymouth dashboards and interiors.

I agree though, the mating of the two halves does look really good!

I think you're right.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that this '61 was not an actual production vehicle.

But from the first time I saw it, I thought it was a very eye catching concept.

Steve G, don't distract him. When he's done the 68 Beaumont conversion, I need him working on a '67 Beaumont conversion so I can replicate my car. Without all the scratch building.... gotta love our Canadian cars though eh?

Hi John, it has a big block hood, but indeed just a 327 with a cam and roller tipped rockers. About 300 hp...

Not a thing wrong with the 327 ( esp. the L-79 ! ) , as it's a great engine .

Beautiful looking '67. The tail lights look much like the Pontiac Tempest of that time. I always liked the 15x8 Corvette Rally Wheels also.

Yes they were. We only got the 4 door versions though
