Dutzie Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 Just finished the Alaskan Hauler kit. The kit was a blast to build and went together well for an older kit. The paints are Rustoleum Forest Green and Apple Red. The weathering comes from many different MIG pigments and Testors CREATEFX stains in both enamel and acrylic. 1
stenfalk Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 A hard worker from the forest. In a simple and practical work suit. But really handsome!
Jim B Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 That looks great, Brian. It looks like it's ready to head up the Dalton Highway.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Great work Brian! This may be my favorite Alaskan Hauler build that I've seen. The weathering is very convincing! Looks Great!
TECHMAN Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 ??? Great build!!! Looks "tough enough" to survive the run!!! DJ
1959scudetto Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Great weathering and a perfectly fitting flatbed trailer !!!
kilrathy10 Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Now, that's a good looking model, there... Excellent work on the weathering...
Brinx Posted October 4, 2020 Posted October 4, 2020 Brian, You captured the kit prefect, looks like the box art and I think the Hills Brothers would be pleased. I remember buying this kit in the '70s and being bummed that there was NO chrome in the kit at all. looking back now, I kinda wish all this kits were done that way and would love to find one of thse old AMT's in a garage sale or flea market today.
extmcdriver Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Good work Brian, looks totally realistic. Super job on your weathering. I hope the Alaskan Hauler gets released again soon.
Ack! Ack-ack! Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Obviously bad weather in Alaska ?, nice weathering.
stavanzer Posted Saturday at 09:02 PM Posted Saturday at 09:02 PM Excellent Build, Dutz! Great Weathering, as well. The Trailer really enhances the build. Good Show.
