RichCostello Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 It was 104 degrees here yesterday(all time record high), already up to 100 today, and the same is expected for at least the next two days. I know this is normal for you Arizona boys, but not for us Idaho boys.
Joe Handley Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 I talked to a lot of people in the upper half original 13 States, MA in particular this week. Pretty much everybody I talked to in that area was talking about upper 80’s on the cool end and upper 90’s on the hot end BEFORE the heat index, with it’s been over 100 there for much of the last few weeks and may not subside for a little while unless that hurricane ends up partially blowing up that way after making landfall in the mainland.
Tom Geiger Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Hot here today in the Philly suburbs, topped 90 but with extreme humidity! Spent the afternoon in the pool
cobraman Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 111 here west of Phoenix today . 21 percent humidity.
1930fordpickup Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 The Potatoes will be baked in the field! We have some relief today with rain here. About time.

Spent the afternoon in the pool Yeah, I grew up in that nasty humidity, I think it adds 20 degrees to the temp. At least it's dry here.

metalhead Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Here in Alabama, it's going to be in the mid 90's all week with the humidity in the high 70's. It's standing at 76% right now.

slusher Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Glad we are not far apart. I am in Henderson County. We live in a hot summer state..
Bucky Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Henderson County is pretty close to Lawrence County. I've been here since '91.
Jantrix Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 I feel very lucky after spending at least half my life in Florida, to have finally moved to a dry climate. It has absolutely changed my life. Even in the high 90's, a bit of a breeze and some shade, keep up the fluids, and I'm good to be outside all day. I love being outdoors now. I highly recommend it folks.
