majel Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Just finished this project. It's the Revell 1/16 Mickey Thompson US Marines kit with Chuck Boerner decals. The aftermarket parts came from ProTech, Top Studio, and Detail Master. Body color, clear coat, and chassis are all Tamiya paints.
majel Posted August 20, 2020 Author Posted August 20, 2020 Thank you guys! Other than painting and decaling the body twice I really enjoyed this build. Love the large scale even though most of these models need a lot of clean up. Will definitely have to figure out a better way to do the blower hat on the next one, I hate the seam that is left by the two halves. That is one large noticeable mistake on my part!
R M Zombie Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 That looks great! On the steering wheel is that paint or did you add wood? I also have this kit and decals from chuck (he really does make beautiful decals).
Old Coyote Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Gorgeous build sir. Very nicely done. Beautiful photography.
AmericanMuscleFan Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 WOW, superb job Jim! This is a super clean job and I really love that cool body shell. You can be proud of it sir!!! ?
