CSX2196 Flip Top Cobra

This is my tribute to Ken Miles & his flip top Cobra.  It started after seeing Gramps 'bondo is my friend flip top" and, as I had a very used slot car body I thought I would back cast myself one.  It didn't work so I ended up combining a Monogram 427 body, AMT289 rear guards and radiator opening and a resin hood scoop.  Took a bit of work but I am more than happy with the outcome, it looks great sitting in with my other racing Cobra's. Scratch built the dash and vacformed the windscreen.  Finished in auto acrylic Guardsman Blue and a clear coat.  Decals are a combination of Patto's and VRM.  Finally photo shows two of my favourite Cobra's and drivers.  Tks for the inspiration to build this Gramps.
