Snake45 Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 I haven't found that stuff for 99c, but I haven't paid over $3 a can for it, which is about what it's worth.
stitchdup Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 I bet most of the cost is the free shipping. When I order paint they charge an extra £60 for shipping inside the uk.
Mark Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Exhibit A, "what happens when eBay dishes out free listings in order to inflate the number of listings..."

Yeah, due to eBay's fee structure (freebies), there are lots of similar "deals" on eBay being listed over and over for many months with no takers. Amazon is no different. You search for something there and you'll find the same item listed for a wide range of prices. It pays to do the research.
ranma Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Wal Mart used to sell that paint now their cheap paint is just that cheap paint. You'll get what you pay for when you buy wal marts .98 cent spray paint! I'll stick with Krylon short cuts, and Dupli color paint's...............

Walmart's "cheap paint" Color Place black, white and gray primers were the best model car primers I've ever used. Unfortunately they don't carry it any more.

1972coronet Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 I used to buy el cheapo primers ( different colours ) to use on parts and pieces which didn't require any putty / heavy sanding . Additionally , I'd use those thin-consistency primers as a final-primer-step , then wet sand with an old toothbrush ( minimising chances of "burn-through" whilst providing a smooth base ) . I'd buy them at work ( Color Place ) for virtually nothing with my employee discount ; I'd also buy cans of engine-colours paints ( with few exceptions , most popular --and a few less-popular-- colours were available off-the-shelf... even Detroit Diesel Alpine Green and Pontiac Engine Metallic Light Blue ) . Best primer I've ever used --and still use-- is Tamiya's primers . That's the last-primer-application after using sandable / filler-primer over body work and-or heavy sanding areas .
