bondo bill Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 (edited) This is patterned after the '69 Marauder because I like the look of that. So this is a "what if" version of if it had come out earlier. I sanded off the side trim, made a hood scoop to fit the custom hood by cutting custom backseat in half and trimming to fit. The tires are from the AMT white wall tire pack, with the wheels from a '66 Ford and painted to look like magnum wheels. Two tone paint to look like the Marauder. Bare metal foil on the trim. A few things I'd like to adjust: lowering the front stance and cleaning up some chrome. I might put a thin black stripe on the side and make small s55 or x100 decals. Comments welcome! TooOld Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Nice to see a big Merc for a change . Very well done !
doorsovdoon Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 That looks stunning, very well built and great colour scheme. I built one up a couple months back and I did the same regarding the trim. On the Park Lane it only go's as far as the front doors but on the kit it runs the whole length.
David Miller Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 That looks really good , I’ve got one of the re-issued kits but haven’t been inspired which route to take it . I like this look !
bogger44 Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Great idea, and it fits the '66 well. It's nice to see these big old barges built and shown. Congrats!
