  1. I was at my favourite hobby shop tonight and I saw the Revell (euro) box of the ‘71 Boss351 , blue car looks good , and I was wondering is there an advantage of getting this issue ? The US version , North American version silver car is 50$ CDN and this Euro version blue car is 62$ CDN ... what’s the extra $$$ and/or are there any differences in the decals or anything to justify the additional costs ? I have the money , I could afford it ... just wondering if anyone has in site ?
  2. I picked up issue 217 Sunday , reading at lunch today ... this magazine keeps getting better every issue . But .... great story about the Mobius VS MPC ramp truck ... hands down Mobius wins and MPC is an outdated toy . That being said ... the author says , talking about the engine in the Mobius 1966 Ford F350 being a “ nice representation of a 351 “ ??? Even the box says it’s a 390 . ( unlike many many AMT/MPC kits’s box art describing incorrect contents ie: the MPC ‘34 Ford Slammer dirt modified having a 428 Ford engine while the kit has a bbc ... and let’s never forget the AMT James Bond issue ‘71 Mach1 and the two fiascos for kit engines ) My guess the engine is representing a 360/390 , or maybe a 352 ( but I dought that ), but most definitely a FE engine . Unless not factory original equipment ... neither the 351 Windsor , 351 Cleveland nor the 351M ( modified as its usually called ) were not available in 1966 ! I just believe a little more editing is in order please and thankyou .
  3. Not sure if your aware ... as you stated “ Mobius ... already has ... drivetrain and FRAME “ ? ??? Do you know the first generation Econoline Van 1961- 68 , and then the second gen 1969-74 Econoline were all UNIT-BODY construction , not a full frame . 1975 was the first year of a full frame , body on frame design .
  4. Well it might just be another barris junker, sure cant be built stock .... hpiguy’s latest video
  5. The kit was opened , but things were in plastic . There was two sets of decals , one obviously newer , both I could find no date . Not on the box and not on the instructions ( the paper smells old , looks old ) .
  6. I picked this one up this past weekend , it’s old but I can’t see a date anywhere
  7. I’ve been able to pick up the last three issues at ... Wings&Wheels , Danforth ave in Toronto ... the last two issues have been great ! the kit review of the JamesBond 007 Mustang .... the author stated not knowing of a 429 SCJ . The Revell Torino GT and Torino Cobra has a very nice 429 SCJ ( the kit is a very nice kit , beats the heck outta any AMT kit ! I’ve built a few , I even made a convert outta one and working on a Ranchero
  8. How can I remove these annoying google adds ... they are like popping up like mad !
  9. That Infinity T was last released in 2009 , I’ve got one and looked at the date , it looks exactly ... even the decals and box art are exactly the same . What gives ?
  10. One I’ve converted into a ‘70 Mustang
  11. I’ve built two converts , very nice kits
  12. Good enough for Playboy Bunny of the year , 1969
  13. As a Ford guy I had to have it , the box art on Palmer kits is fantastic , the plastic inside not so much
  14. 1970/71 Mercury Cyclone , 1970 Mercury Cougar XR7 , 1976 Mercury Cougar/Montego ( nascar edition )
  15. I built the convertible from a fastback , and another I added the Mercury Cyclone roof/trunk to create the 70 1/2 Falcon
  16. I’ve bought 3 of the new Boss 302’s ( so far ) , and my first one I painted Candy Apple Red as well . Even though Ford never offered the ‘69 Boss 302 in red , but it looks so good ! I never put the Boss stripes on it either .
  17. Do you have a pic of the AMT kit your referring to ?
  18. I believe the Bugaboo uses the same chassis as well
  19. Because I wanted a 1/25 ‘70 Boss 429 and a Convertible . It drives me crazy that the Monogram car is 1/24 . I don’t like the different scales , so I stick with 1/25
  20. It would be nice if the kit came with the correct Corporate Caps and Trim rings but the art looks like baby moons !
  21. I was going to use two Coupes’ roofs and try to make a sedan , but it’ll be a 1950 Meteor ( ‘49 and ‘50 Meteors used Mercury Grilles ) . Sure wish there was a ‘51 Ford and or Meteor Grille .
  22. Now this Palmer kit has fantastic box art , don’t wanna talk about the kit inside
