The cab finally found its way onto the chassis,  now the part I like almost as much as fabrication...detailing . I kinda screwed up attaching the blower , now I can't plumb the lines without breaking stuff off..maybe next time on an Oshkosh  !

This is curbside , so I'll cheat a stack onto cab. Installing the cab really made me want to wrap this up.. I found some acrylic dullcoat at lhs, shooting testors hot lacquer dullcoat  over this would be catastrophic. 20210216_170600.thumb.jpg.5a90d60b2eca379765093f897806daa6.jpg

Thanks for everyone's feedback,  I appreciate the comments

Some fantastic work there.

I just saw on the news a snow plow in Texas that was like a tractor trailer set up.....huge double wing plow up front and side wings on the trailer....high mounted cab......anyone know who/what this was???

The NYSDOT uses a similar unit for clearing the highways,  its exactly that a trailer snowplow or sander they operate from the truck . The ones I've seen here in upstate NY were usually Mack Granites or IH Workstars .

Don't forget the door handles and mirrors!  Looking real good!

Nope haven't forgot them, just waiting so they don't get broken off lol. Thanks

Looks great so far.  Mission Models makes acrylic flat and gloss.  I actually find their gloss to be more luster.

Thanks   ! I'll check the bottle after work , can't recall who makes the flat I bought.

Puttered w RM today while daughter slept in,  added most of the smaller details id left off . The exhaust pipes drying and its basically just waiting on decals and dullcoat.  I made up some D rings on the front frame , plow lights on the back from spare parts and fabbed up the lift chains ... I was so excited I decided to fire up the blower engine that it spit oil all over the top cover lol .

I might add some plow lights and mounts from the grill, seems like there should be more lighting for those late night clean outs

Jeff you need to take your snow blower out side if you still have some real snow and get some pictures.

I was hoping to today, it was a really sunny day. if temps stay the same I'll take a few outside. Today was paint touch up s and add the hood latches I forgot in the box
