All model kits 40% off. I did see 3 new cars and bought the 1966 Wildcat.

I have not been there since last November . Hoping that they would have a better selection now. Nope

Maybe they're clearing out old stock for new arrivals.  Also, probably a lot were bought for Christmas gifts.  Most kits are coming from China, so it's going to take some time to replenish.  I went to the local one this afternoon and there was only 1 Wildcat left.  I should have bought it to experiment with for building a correct interior (which it never had).

They had the Revell '69 Boss 302.   I couldn't recall if it's any good.  I bought the 1/24 '66 Shelby and the Atlantis 1/48 Sinclair tanker truck.  They also had the usual Ferrari and Lamborghini diecasts - cars I can't relate to.

Sometimes the one I go to in my area runs 40% off and gets a couple new models but mostly stays the same with the old lineup..

Same here, HL must have bought a boat load of these older models cause they never seem to run out!

No need to wait for 40% sales on model kits. You can use their 40% coupon if you go to the Hobby Lobby website on your phone, click on Coupon to take to store.. It will bring up the barcode for 40% coupon. I'm surprise folks here don't realize you don't need to wait for a sale on model kits to get the 40% off.? But you can use it for other model related tools and paints though. I've saved tons of money using the Hobby Lobby coupon through my phone.

Of course, you can't use the 40% coupon on sale items.

I think most people are well aware of the weekly 40% coupon. But these sales where all model kits are 40% is a big deal because you can buy more than one kit at 40%. For people that live close to a HL that's not a big deal, but for people who don't live close to one it makes economic sense to make one occasional trip and pick up a bunch of kits than multiple trips to get one at a time.

I believe they will have sales on kits periodically but.I like to look at the jewelry making section and doll house section.  I also see things in the clearance section I can use in modeling..

Periodically as in how often? Doubt it will be every other week like they've been doing all along. You watch.... eliminating the 40% coupon will be their downfall. Who knows. But hey, what do I know... it's their business.

I'm still curious if they're going to stock Tamiya and/or the new Revell line of paints once Model Master colors are gone for good.

Maybe an email to their offices will reveal whether or not they will carry Tamiya or Revell (or someone else) paint?

I don't buy spray paint from HL. Around here, you have to get someone to open the cabinet, then they march the paint to the front of the store and leave it at the returns register until you are ready to check out.

Ridiculous policy. I've never heard of any store locking up spray paint in cabinets. What about those "crafty glitter" spray paints. Are those locked on cabinets too? If not, thats racist.?

Walmart self check out registers will send a red light tofront line staff that customer is buying stay paint for  verification if customer is over the age of 18 to purchase it.
