bobss396 Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 The first is Chloe, we lost her to cancer last April. This cat was more human than most people I know. The little guy is Ivan, about 1.5 years old in the picture, he is now 7. He came to us as a feral rescue at about 6 weeks old. 6
bobss396 Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Ivan about 3 months old. He soon graduated to 24-pack beer boxes. 4
Mike C Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 I saw this on YouTube about 4 years ago. It's on Tubi now. It's funny. 1
jaymcminn Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Bought a new platform bed and mattress. I put the frame together (amazing how nice flat-pack furniture can be these days) and just as I finished the delivery guys from the mattress store showed up with the mattress. I made the bed, left the room for a drink, and when I came back... Yup. Didn't even get to be the first to try it out. 3 2

Horrorshow Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 This is Jack. He’s is 14, he’s been an indoor kitty his whole life, my wife thought sunshine and fresh air would be good for him. 6

TonyK Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Jack looks like he's enjoying the warmth of the sun.

Mike C Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 This is on Tubi, it's free. The preview isn't in English but the movie is. I originally saw it about 4 years ago when it was on YouTube.

MrMiles Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 our cat kammy died last week from a mouth cancer. Originally the vet said it was an issue with her teeth and we had a scheduled surgery for her, but a few days before the day she stopped eating. we took her to a different vet, who looked at her and said that its a mouth cancer, and will not survive and there is nothing they can do. she was about 16 years old. about 14 years ago, my wife originally fostered her for a local shelter, but she was at the end of her "allowed time", so we officially adopted her so she wouldn't get put down, and she had many happy years with us. it came as a big surprise to us, and our other cat seems very depressed now, and is meowing a lot and wanting a lot of extra attention. this is kammy from just before she got sick, hugging the ugly baby yoda doll 1 3
TonyK Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 Tried to put a "sad" icon on your post but it's not working again. But I am sad to hear about this. 16 years is pretty good but I know from our loss of pet dogs you want them to live forever.

I'm pleased that she gave you many years of companionship and love !

MrMiles Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 My wife and I got two kittens last night, brother and sister from a local rescue. Our cat died about a month ago and our other cat seemed very lonely Our existing cat does not yet love the kittens but my wife and I are introducing them very slowly for just a short time until our boy stops hissing Anyways here are the two babies Arnold and Gracie 3 1
MrMiles Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 our boy is still very angry that we got the kittens. hissing at them and even swatting at under the door. unfortunately for me, i have been sleeping on the couch with him so he knows that he is really important, but tonight i tried to go back to the bedroom and he cried at the door. tomorrow im going back. i cant keep sleeping on the couch
Dave Ambrose Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 We're adopting a pair of cats that belonged to a deceased family member. Meeting half-way in Flagstaff. Pictures when we get back. 1
Dave Ambrose Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 (edited) We're back, alas, somewhat worse for the wear. But, we got the kitties. This is Lucy This is Dusty. We need a new name for her. They're not quite feral, but are settling in nicely. It will take them a while to get fully acclimated. For the moment, they're confined to a spare bedroom. Quick update on our newly adopted cats: Lucy is settling in. She's friendly, exploring the house, and enjoying the attention she gets when she hops into our lap to watch TV with us. Dusty has been renamed to Tourmaline, mostly to get rid of that hissy S-sound. She's still skittish, but is exploring the house, and is taking bribes (e.g. kitty treats) from my wife. She's going to take a while, but at least we're making progress getting them settled in. Neither of them care for turkey. Edited November 24, 2023 by Dave Ambrose 6 1
