SCRWDRVR
I was looking around for some Tamiya TS-34 Camel yellow and came across some PS-19 Camel yellow. The colors look close but was wondering if anyone knew about the PS prefix and if was something we could use on styrene...
Dave G.
Ps is for poly-carbonate plastic, usually clear and flexible like on RC cars. And honestly that's all I know about it.
Jordan White
I've been seeing things ranging from it just having a matte finish to it causing issues for the plastic. I would say to just go with the TS spray to play it safe.

Mark
PS is meant to be applied to the inside of a clear radio control car body. It has to really bite into the clear polycarbonate material, so the paint itself will be much hotter than paints designed for use on styrene. Using the PC paint on styrene will require a very good barrier between the two, and also a clearcoat.

Rocking Rodney Rat
As stated above the PS designation is for clear RC bodies. I looked around on the innerwebs and from what I can find, this paint will eat styrene. I bought a can by mistake and threw it in the trash (not worth the risk). My $.02 and worth both pennies... -RRR

youpey
A hobby store once told me that the ps paint can be used on models just it will be matte instead of shiny. They said since it goes on the inside of an rc body the plastic makes it look shiny. I haven't tried it myself, but i wouldn't bother if there is a ts version. Its not worth the risk, to me at least

Shardik
Also, the "AS" paints are more of a semi-gloss, but can be polished to a respectable shine which, to my eye, looks more realistic for a stock automotive finish than the ultra-high-gloss finishes that many try to achieve.
