Thanks David and Carl!

I had painted the lower interior panels with what I thought would be a matching color to the carpet, but when the paint dried, it had changed hue.  I masked off the lowers and repainted them with Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black.  I went and painted the steering wheel rim a woodgrain color and assembled the rest of the interior.

More Volvo to come...

Thanks Peter, Gareth, Stephen and Charlie!  On larger flat surfaces, I take either a black Sharpie or a fine tipped brush and some black paint and add little dots in a irregular pattern to represent the wood better.

I love these kits. Have two in the stash, always looking for more.

Tamiya must see the demand for these old Volvo 850 kits is there. Why not reissue them?

Anyway, looking forward to seeing more of yours!

Why Tamiya doesn't re-issue these kits is beyond me.  Yes, the demand may be there, but who knows why they don't.

Thanks Dann!  I used some Model Master Acryl Gloss Green with a small brush on Tamiya TS-29 semi gloss black painted plastic.

I have finished my Volvo 850 Turbo Estate and it is posted in Under Glass.  I would like to thank all those who have viewed and commented on my WIP.

Looks nice! I have had one of those a GLT with R front and wing. No torbo wheels just the standard 6 spoke. It was green. Nice cars at the time. Now they are every where here and no one is buying them. they just rot away.
