I built this kit a few years back, put in a fuel-injected SBC.  For the hinge I used wire and brass tube. It made the hinging easier but didn't do a thing for the fit at the fender, therefore I display it with the front flipped forward.

I will be starting a build of this one soon.  I have a couple of questions now after going over the instructions and doing some test fitting. Is the box floor assembled above or below the guide pins on the box sides? It also isn't very clear about the gas tank mounting position. There seem to be a location marked on the frame in front of the radiator, but it doesn't fit with the 4 feet of the tank on the frame. Is that why yours is mounted the way we see it?
