Prince Ital Mike Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Hallo, I'd like to introduce my current project, the Willys MB Gasser build. Engine, frame and wheels are Corvette, the rest is Willys MB. After a lot of cutting and not so much measuring: Dry fitting after surfacer: Still a lot of work to do. Thanks for your attention, feel free to comment and criticize. :)
Oldmopars Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 This is really cool! I love this idea. There have even been a few of these in 1:1 built and raced or showed. Great idea, I will be watching.
Beamerman Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Wow this is stunning! Cant wait to see how this continues....
crossfire 2004 Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Nice work Michael, I like where you are going with this one. Here’s my take on the gasser Jeep to give you some inspiration.
Prince Ital Mike Posted May 18, 2021 Author Posted May 18, 2021 Thanks, guys. Nice Jeep, Stuart! I'm considering cutting the windshield too.
Prince Ital Mike Posted May 20, 2021 Author Posted May 20, 2021 Small update: I made a highly sofisticated exhaust system from the brass tube.
Dave Van Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 There was a digital art piece going around about ten years ago......want to build.....to many projects.....I'll watch yours!
Prince Ital Mike Posted May 21, 2021 Author Posted May 21, 2021 Nice one! You should build it ASAP, Dave ? Today's progress: bodycolour and seats before wash.
Prince Ital Mike Posted May 25, 2021 Author Posted May 25, 2021 Trailer bed: BMF, boards from the wooden sheet (KA Models), some dark wash and pigments.
Zippi Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 That bed looks pretty nice there Michael. Has that real look effect.
espo Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 I like your grill detail and wish it was a little more visible. The detailing of the trailer floor looks very realistic.
Prince Ital Mike Posted May 30, 2021 Author Posted May 30, 2021 Thank you, guys. I hope the leopard straps are still a thing... ?
Prince Ital Mike Posted June 6, 2021 Author Posted June 6, 2021 Thank you, guys. I drilled and wired the horn to make it look a bit more realistic. 1
