Late in the Johan life they pieced together a lot of tooling. That’s why some of the Oldies series have later model interiors and wrong trim.  Note the 59 Rambler wagon has a 61 or 62 interior.

And as mentioned, the plastic varied. Hanley’s main business was injection molded parts to the auto industry and the kits were often run with plastic left over from other projects. Who knows, that blue interior plastic may have been used to make 1:1 GM armrest bases.

Very nice job Roger on a seldom seen car. If thats BMF trim(which I'm sure it is) you did a beautiful job on it?

Thanx Mike! It is BMF.

Wouldn't doubt that at all. JoHan kits are notorious for being molded in wacky colors! It's like they just used whatever they had on hand at the time. Didn't matter the color or consistency, they just used it.

Beautiful Cutlass, Roger!  I  remember them the most in burgundy and gold the most.  One thing I miss about older cars is they drove better and heavier then cars today…

Thanx Carl! The only thing I miss about older cars is the room they had.

Very nice result. I bought a set of Hurst Olds decals many moons ago to do a 74 Cutlass H/O. I really need to get one of these.

Doing some research on 74 and 75 Cutlass'. Standard 74's, 442s and Hurst Olds had horizontal bars in the grille and turn signals in the front bumper. 74 Cutlass Supremes has slightly taller grilles with closely spaced vertical  grilles and turn signals outboard of the grilles in the header panel. 75's had wider spaced vertical grilles with turn signals integrated into them . The 75 Supremes had a different eggcrate type grille with closer spacing. Rear side window treatment varied as well. Most were large triangular windows. Some had smaller rectangular "Landau" windows. Some of the Hurst Pace Car versions had padded vinyl tops which covered the window openings and had a brushed aluminum strip that ran over the roof. may had T-tops as well. 74 tail lights were one rectangle with the Oldsmobile emblem in the middle. 75's split the taillight vertically into two sections.

I just acquired a grey 75 promo that I will have to backdate to a 74 because my Hurst decal set is for a 74.

I've changed this model since it was first built. It's now lowered with a set of Hopsters from the Revell '67 Chevelle SS 396. It looks much better now!

Put a set of Steven Zimmerman’s Olds wheels on it.

I like those! The Hopsters are somewhat similar. I painted the recesses gold like you have yours. But, for some reason, they didn't suit it to me. I can't buy wheels from Steve as I'm not on Facebook.
