First Pick-up I have ever done. II wasn't going to do a WIP on this one but what the heck, just a limited one.  Progressing fairly easy with one hiccup......I have lost the drivers side step that goes in front of the rear fender??

Createx Wicked Pearl Red over Createx Pearl Gold.  Not cleared yet.

Chassis. Not fancy. Added a little color painting the shocks like Bilsteins.

Thats it for now.

That's looking bodacious so for Mike.  Maybe someone will chime in that has an extra drivers side step that's willing to part with it.

Thanks David and Greg, I do like the color, anxious to get the clear on.

Well Chaz, it was a fairly easy job until about half way thru I ran out of older foil I had and had to go to my new sheet. I put one strip on, trimmed it and the whole strip slid right off. Luckily it wasn't destroyed and I was able to get it to stick back on. Every one after that was a bit of an adventure. After I got them all on, I brushed Future over all of the bed to seal them on.

Beautiful color Mike, I hope that things continue to go your way. I like these old Chevy truck..

Thanks neighbor......as I said, first ever truck build.  Still no clear (this crappy weather) and when I can, it should really "pop"!!

Once you get further into this one Mike you just might get hooked on old trucks like I am ☺ I really like the ole Task Force Blue Chip series trucks.

They are pretty cool and fairly easy to build....but I'm still a car guy.

Got the clear on (Rusto Acrylic lacquer), bed completed.  The clear is not polished, will wait a few days before doing it.

Looking great Mike.  I love the grille in the Task Force trucks.  kinda looks like the grille in a 55 Chevy.
