Jim B
I've had this kit kicking around for a decade or so: And in in an effort to further stall my BRBO 1976 Chevrolet Bison, in April I decided to start it. The goal was to make a nice looking tractor using everything from the original kit, and I think I succeeded. The kit is box-stock except that I shortened the frame 48mm to a 180" wheelbase. The Kenworth badges below the doors, on the quarter fenders, and on the seat back are JBOT decals I had kicking around, and the badge on the grill is from the Revell of Germany Kenworth W900. The color is Rust-oleum Navy Blue, and the interior color is Dupli-Color Buckskin. The decals are from the original 1992 kit. Interior: Frame with engine (easier to see without the cab): I did have an issue with some missing parts from the Detroit Diesel 8V92T, and was helped out by a Forum member, and the valve covers are from Double Take Replicas. Angel, yes, I cut the frame down be 48mm (1-7/8"). Thanks for the complement. Instructions actually call for the cab & frame to be painted black, but I like the blue better. 12 hours ago, Bills72sj said: WAY COOL PAINT SCHEME! Thanks, Bill. 5 hours ago, ChrisR said: Nice! Jim B
Thanks, Warren. It's just your standard AMT/Ertl Kenworth Aerodyne kit released under Esci/Ertl name in the 1990s. Probably for Europe, but I'm not sure how it got over here in the US.
kilrathy10
Great job on this kit... I have always loved the decals that came with this one and a later reissue... You've done an excellent job with it... I love it... Looks good with that old trailer on the back, too... Awesome...
