No idea when I’ll get back to this , but this past weekend was a washout, so I started on the Astro, as usual, I started with the cab paint job…..

frame will probably be a darker orange/reddish color I think, but, who knows, lol.

I'm just just send my cabs to you for color lol awesome color scheme . For your frame color , had ya thought about a steel color like the stripes to tie them together?

Jeff, frame color will come to me at the appropriate time, lol.

I finally found the info another member sent me back in 2015 for the measurements to drop the cab to a more realistic height and still tilt properly, so I’ll be doing that on this build. I’m also using moebius wheels and some tires from Gary Wallace (GW trucks).  So, stay tuned, plan to actually keep working on this when time allows.

So, the cab hinge issue didn’t get addressed on this, as I got ahead of myself, maybe next time.  But, I have been picking away at it. Here are some mock up pics…

Nice progress on your interior Tom. Did you notice that they have a Chevy emblem on the steering wheel instead of the GMC.

my friend if i would have been building that model i would never notice the Chevy emblem on the steering wheel ..good catch....AMT was bad about using parts from other kits to save a dollar..
