The Ford pickup and Caddy turned out to be darn  decent kits!  They are nicely done and go together very well!

That's because it's a re-pop of an older Ford F-100 kit. Yes, it is a great kit and is well put together.

The Foose pickup was a totally new tool.

There is nothing stock regarding the Foose pickup.  The cab has been heavily modified, and the chassis is all modern custom components.

I watched a few Overhaulin' shows and if more than a few of the cars I saw finished were mine, I'd have been beyond pissed off.

Never saw a build on there that the wheel and tire package would have made it out of the garage if it were my car.

Just because you didn't care for the wheels and tires doesn't mean the people who owned the cars weren't happy with them. It's a subjective thing.

Revell has in the past issued a number of one-and-done kits...the Rick Dobbertin J-2000, Don Garlits' Swamp Rat 30, Roth's Beatnik Bandit II to name three.  Not being reissued would be due to nonexistent sales on the first issue, licensing problems, or the tooling being altered to make something else.

I sure hope we see that Rat Roadster out again. There were not many around after the first round of shows like the other 32 offerings.  Looks like the other 32 roadster was offered in 1999, 2005 and 2005 as the good guys version.  Those are also not an easy find anymore. Maybe the next round of open swap meet & shows will change this.

Was just stating my opinion. Personally most of the Foose wheels are ugly to me.

The Revell '32 Ford Highboy Roadster is very hard to find.  I watched eBay for months trying to get that kit at a decent price.  Finally found one for $15 plus reasonable shipping, and jumped on it.  The '32 Tudor Sedan is downright Unobtainium.  A shame, because it has a nice Flathead engine.

Just don't look in my stash.  The last show I went to, in Detroit area I walked by a roadster in a box of kits. I stopped in my tracks when I seen the price tag of 10 bucks. Another kit that when it came out I thought I could always get more at the next show. Nope, they seemed to vaporize in thin air. LOL

Yep, "I can always get more" fools me every time, too.  Even in Hobby Lobby, I don't know how many times I've looked at a kit and said, "I'll get it next time."  But the next time I go in, they're all gone!  These days, even newly released kits seem to disappear pretty quickly.  Then I have to go looking on eBay and pay shipping...

Two of my best Flea Market finds were a Monogram Lil Coffin for $15 and a Revell Stacy David Rat Roaster for $10, both still shrink-wrapped.  I didn't even try to haggle on those two.  Just whipped out my wallet so fast, I almost broke my wrist.

Flea markets and antique shops are great places to find model kits. Even an antique festival of sorts can yield some hard to find kits at a decent price (depending on the dealer). That reminds me, I need to hit a few flea markets in my area. LOL!

Next time you think "I'll get it next time", think about the Revell '29 roadster and '30 coupe kits first time around...
