FLHCAHZ Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Hello all. I am in awe of some the skills people on this site have. Typically I like to build 60’s muscle cars, but when I came across this kit at Ollie’s for about $7, I thought I’d give it a go to try some basic body work and modifications. This is a police car snap kit that was to me very cartoonish. I had a few different ideas on ways to build it, but settled on the typical low rider look (kind of like the car form the movie Cobra). I used stretched sprue to fill all of the holes in the body for the light bar, spot lights and antenna. I cut the vent windows out to give it a longer, lower appearance and darkened the chrome to fit the overall look. It’s lowered about as much as I could. I smoothed out the body the best I could, tons of seams and I got rid of the drip rails. The body is airbrushed with craft paint and cleared with Future floor polish. The wheels came from a 57 Chevy donor. For a snap kit, the fit was awful, but I still had a good time customizing it here is the kit here is what I made it into 1
espo Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Turned out great. I have never bought this kit for all the reasons you listed. I liked following your build on this and the way it turned out is amazing considering what you had to work with. Very clean looking finishes.

bogger44 Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 I've always wondered about this kit and have thought about picking one up as a quick slam-together build. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and encounters with it. Yours turned out great, and those wheels were a great choice.
FLHCAHZ Posted August 23, 2021 Author Posted August 23, 2021 Thanks Tony! I am pleased with the wheels. If u can pick this kit up on the cheap, I’d recommend it, but not for full price
