I've been having a sort out of my model stuff recently and it turns out i have a lot more pe and decals than I thought. I need to come up with a way to store them and initially my thoughts were a photo album or something similar but i'm concerned that would damage the decals on the plastic film. How do you store yours?

For decals, I bought a larger sized 3-ring binder and a bunch of document protectors, (those clear plastic sleeves). I drop my decals in those. My decals are kept in their original package along with that slick paper that comes with them. My hobby room is in the climate controlled basement so light exposure, temp. and humidity are not big concerns.

My PE is laid flat in a drawer.

I had a bunch of loose vintage decals that outgrew the cigar box they were in .

I got some card stock , a non permanent gluestick, and acid free photo protectors glued the decals to the card stock cut the cardstock to size and put them in the protectors and those went in to a 3 ring binder . It works well but the weight of the entire package means the binders have to be stored laying down rather than upright library style .

Hi les.

For my photoetch, I have a small box box that I keep all my PE sets, sitting upright,  and cataloged by subject separators.

For decals, and small parts like window cranks, door handles, inside and out mirrors, and so on,  I used Zip lock bags, taped to page separators in a 3", 3-ring binder.
