1968 Lotus Turbine #70 Indy Car

I built this for a club theme. 
I picked this kit up years ago and got it because I just wanted the tractor.

It has aftermarket resin tires & decals from IndyCal

Nice job on this and you pretty much have to use aftermarket tires as the ones in the kit are usually warped. What paint did you use?

I used to Tamaya fluorescent red with no clearcoat.

Oh and the kit tires are Good Years too. The resin tires came with side wall decals.

Really a great build of one of Indy's icons. The resin tires really are a subtle but marked improvement.

They were used to push them in the pits.

A nice, clean build of a very interesting Lotus ( though IMHO there is no such thing as an uninteresting Lotus). Those tires are a huge improvement. Nice work. That’s a beautiful model.

Thanks for posting that. Those things sound wicked. I would love to have witnessed them run in person. Some nice views too. The clean styling of the 56 is simply gorgeous.

Beautiful build! I did Joe’s car. Indycal decals and resin tires also.

Love the build.  I always wondered if anyone made decals for the Wheel Horse tractor that comes in the kit.  Great job.
