Snake45 Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 I'm pretty sure my new airgun is in one of those containers. Latest estimated delivery date is February...
89AKurt Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 To be accurate, the hull should be painted with silicon paint. Seriously, read some time ago that it slides faster through the water, so now it can wait longer to unload.

espo Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 Get enough of these and you could make a diorama of the coast off southern California.
GLMFAA1 Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 Where is the raincoat and cigar? Hope there are other names on the decal sheet. They named a ship after me? greg
jaymcminn Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 Are there really more people out there who would rather have a kit of a container ship than a DB5?

Well, if a model of "Cup O Noodles" is deemed sales worthy, then I guess a model of an Aston Martin is viewed as too obscure.

Mike999 Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 Weird Shipping Trivia I learned when I lived in Egypt. When fuel prices are high (like now), shippers tend to take the long way around the Cape of Good Hope in south Africa. They want to avoid the transit fees that come with the short cut, thru the Suez Canal. But when fuel prices are low, they pay the fees and use the Canal. Those Suez Canal transit fees are Egypt's second-biggest source of income, after tourism. Like the scale model companies, the Canal just raised its prices again in Nov. 2021:Suez Canal to raise fees, heaping pressure on global supply chains | Shipping industry | The Guardian
