TruckerAL Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 (edited) Been wanting to do this mashup for a while, and after I saw a close friend of mine do something similar on Facebook, I decided to give it a shot! Started with the AMT coke Western Star, and Ford Louisville snowplow kits. Swapped the plow, dump body, sander, and decals from the ford kit. Front spokes from the Diamond Reo kit, mudflaps are spare Italeri. The rest is all basically from the 2 kits. The plow was tricky to mount and assemble, but worth it in the end. Sorry about the lighting, just working with what I got at the moment. Enjoy! Edited December 25, 2021 by TruckerAL

JerseeJerry55 Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Very nicely done Alex. Like the colors 1
1959scudetto Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Very good kitbash, Alex - I did a similar one with Ertl's DM 600 and the snowplow, but yours looks much better - as this combination had been intended. 1
TruckerAL Posted December 27, 2021 Author Posted December 27, 2021 Again, thank you everyone. Truly appreciate it! Stay tuned for what I come up with for the leftover Ford Louisville, and spare parts from the western star...!
Warren D Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Looks great, one little nit, you need to angle the plow toward the curb. I've always enjoyed mixing and matching bodies with different cab/chassis as it opens up almost unlimited possible combinations. It takes some more work and planning but I've always found the results worth the effort.
Pete68 Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 (edited) Looks great Alex no matter which way the plow is turned. I like the front spoke wheels very Canadian looking. Edited December 29, 2021 by Pete68
