Some more progress… I got the rear tanks installed! It took a little tweaking to get them lined up, the straps are really thick PE and some bending is required for fitment, but other than that it’s pretty straight forward.

Thanks for looking

It has been a minute since my last update. I finally got these tanks completed. They where more trouble than they look, the tanks themselves weren’t that bad it’s the photo etched bands that honestly suck. You have to form them to the contours of the tank and glue them into place. I had to re paint one tank, witch took longer than I expected, oh well ??

hope you like

The tank straps …

would they bend easier if heated before bending and painting ?  And or would could they be replaced by tin strip - which is softer ?  ??

If they where thinner would be much easier. I have never thought of using heat to bend the PE.

If not for the flower print background I'd swear I was looking at the real thing!  Outstanding work.

Thank you both for your kind compliments ???

This model is taking shape extremely well, and it is nice to see an older subject being modelled.

Just a tip, not a criticism, try photographing it with a plain background as clutter and floral paper distracts from your excellent build.

It’s been a couple weeks since my last update. No worries I have been working on this off and on

I got most of the body panels painted and cleared, I used gravity colors Rosso Chiraro and 2k clear.
Wile this has been sitting I decided to start building the wheels, very time consuming yet satisfying when they start to come together. This is the first wheel, not yet completed but soon and I have 3 more to do???
