69NovaYenko Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Is there a kitted exhaust cut-out? If not I`d welcome any suggestions on how to best replicate this configuration. Also I`m looking for Glass Pack style mufflers....any lead on finding them will be greatly appropriated. Thanks for looking. 1
stitchdup Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 They look like a simple scratch project. Just a bit of tube/rod with a small square on the end. The glass packs would be simple too if youcant find any, just some rod with the ends rounded a little
deuces wild Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Some Cherry Bombs had a header flange welded on the inlet... I had a pair on a '69 Camaro SS.....
espo Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 These would make a fun scratch building project, but if you want to just splice in something already made check out the AMT '62 Pontiac kit. The kit has the parts for a Super Duty style build and include some nice an era authentic cutout. 1
deuces wild Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 I'm gonna look into my '62 poncho kit and see what I have.... Thanks espo!...?

How does that help someone find a source for cut-outs?? The AMT #1176 (and earlier issues under the Polar Lights brand) '65 Dodge Coronet has a full exhaust system with turn outs/cutouts:
deuces wild Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Sorry Case!... Just making a statement.....
larman Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 The Moebius Super Stock and AFX Plymouths have the factory exhaust cut-out set up. They are similar to the ones posted above and are nicely detailed. I think the Revell/Monogram '37 Ford kits had glass pack style mufflers.
NOBLNG Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Both of these kits have glass packs. It would also be really easy to make them from some large sprue or styrene rod. 1
