250 Testa Rossa Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 I just ordered a set of Slixx Decals to build the Dick Landy car.
Altered Ego Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Thank you Dave, I am drooling over this one. My plans are to build a Landy car, a Ramchargers car and a Grand Spaulding car. 1
papajohn97 Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Best news I’ve read all week ! Thank you so much Dave! I was hoping you’d do a Dodge version of your Plymouth kits in the future and now to read they’re underway, you’ve made my day! Is it too early to ask what specific drag car(s) will be shown on the box art and decals?

Mr mopar Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 There is one thing this kit needs is a 8 3/4 " rear end this photo is Mr Dick Landy's '65 A/FX Dodge Coronet .

That's been my contention. The Dana 60 --while a common upgrade-- didn't premiere until the 1966 model year. The 8.75'' was the only rear , regardless of transmission (including the 1964-1965 Hemi, which were race-only until '66). IIRC, Landy's '65 Coronet 'WO51'-come-A/FX has two different tail lamp bezels : one with the Back-Up lamp (mandated by 01/01/1965; optional or standard on the 500 model until the mandate) , and one without that provision (e.g., a 'blank' section with the Dodge 'Tri-Star' emblem cast with the bezel).
GMP440 Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Does it really matter which rear comes in the kit? Just the fact that Moebius will be doing the 65 Coronet in both the A-990 and altered wheelbase version is excellant news. Correct rear axle or not lets support them. Lets keep open minded about this kit subject. Who knows; Moebius, after reading through this topic may very well include the 8 3/4 rear assembly in this kit. 4

tim boyd Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Dave can provide more details as he deems appropriate, but rest assured, work is continuing apace on these....TB 1

stavanzer Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 Bring on the A-990! That interests me more than the Altered Cars do. I've seen a Clone A-990 at the March Meets. What a sleeper! 1
GMP440 Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 (edited) Really looking forward to the upcoming 65 Coronet AWB car kit. Will the kit come with decals? Edited March 23, 2022 by GMP440

echo Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 Being a big AWB fan I'm looking forward to this kit. Here are the factory AWB Dodges. This was the Color Me Gone car and the only sedan if you are ambitious with a roof swap There are a lot of aftermarket decals out there and with this release there will probably be more. As far as decals in the new kit my own preference would be the Harrop's Flying Carpet car whuch won the first Super Stock & Drag Illustrated meet at York in August '65. 1
wrenchr Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 From the 90's I have a set of Landy's dodge decals from The Good Stuff. might use those on one when this comes out.

bisc63 Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 Cool references! That Yankee Peddler is an interesting color scheme. I dig it!
