Since I managed to finish the Pete and flatbed, I was looking around the model hoard for another truck to build, and this one yelled out to me. So far I’ve got the cab paint scheme sorted out and started, and picked a trailer to put behind it, which I just got today, and happens to have some decals that I think will go great with the paint scheme of the truck.Should be a fun build, so stay tuned…..

Looks great, Tom.  What shade of green is that?  Looks like it matches the green on the decals well.

Your off to a great start on this one Tom. Did you use the paper template in the directions for the stripes?

Thanks guys. Jim , green is tamiya AS-9. Dan, no, used tamiya masking tape, didn’t think those paper masks would work out very well, lol.

When the kit first came out back in the 70’s I remember trying it and the little bleed through they say to touch up was more like a blood bath on mine. Lol.

Thanks, Tom.  Those Tamiya AS colors are nice.  Looks like AS-9 is RAF Dark Green.

Really nice 4070 build!  Your respray looks much better, glad a soak in the Swedish spa took care of the paint issues

the frame color goes well too..better than a typical black frame in this case

Thanks guys. Made a little more progress tonight, air bags painted, engine/radiator final assembled in frame, front axle glued in. Have interior parts painted and the grill mostly detailed ( needs minor touch up of the black band), but progressing nicely .
