It is hard to appreciate the size without other objects for comparison. The details are pretty amazing. Thank you Gramps46. I really like race cars , was just never any good at building them. I’ll send you a pic of the size of this car. The small one is a 1/24. 1
Gramps46 Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 Thanks Bruce for the photo with the 1/24th scale version. Pretty amazing.

Building some of these things take a little different approach. You also need a very big bench. Tools are different, like you need things for metal, grinders, drill bits, metal polishers( tumblers) special screw drivers etc. and if you are painting them. You need a spray gun. A airbrush will not paint it well. It’s different but I really like them. Where do you put them? I’m trying to figure that out. My supersnake is going to the Vegas Shelby museum next month. But Agora is sending me another one. Im going to repaint that one and modify it a bit. Here is the supersnake. You get to see it before it goes to the museum. 1

tmathew1us Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Gentlemen, This thread has been dormant for a while, but I was able to attend the 100th anniversary of the 24 hours of Le Mans. It was a bucket list event, and truly one of the great experiences of my life! I was able to get some excellent access and I have included some pictures of track and the race events. More relevant to this forum, I was also able to visit the museum, which was absolutely incredible! For the 100th anniversary, there was a reunion of several of the previous winners, some of whom took to the track (the Mazda 787 sounded the best, IMO). The museum features the most incredible model car collection I have ever seen, 1/43rd scale of not just the winners, but every car that was entered! An incredible undertaking. I tried to take several photos to do it justice. As well, I have included photos of several winners, with the description plaque prior. Enjoy! https://photos.app.goo.gl/ipRcWTi1Ay1Vvfj38 2

Speaking of 1/43 scale, did you happen to see the diorama of the 1970 race that was there. Here are some pictures from online. 5
Gramps46 Posted June 30, 2023 Author Posted June 30, 2023 This is a new book about the Le Mans 24 Heures race and covers all years 1923 - 2022 with cars, drivers, and interesting antidotes. But only a few pictures, cost me $25 in paperback on Amazon and I recommend it if you are a Le Mans fan. 2

It was modified by Porsche from the original Group C Jaguar XJR-14 from which it derived from and run by Joest Racing. Originally intended to race in the IMSA World Sportscar Championship, the WSC-95 saw very little race action even though it won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in both 1996 and 1997 without being acknowledged as a factory supported project. (Wikipedia) Very nice! Tom Walkinshaw had his race team about 20 miles from here, in nearby Oxford! Edited June 30, 2023 by PatW

Your fault Gramps! ?
