Can-Con Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 Curtis, if you have enough of the gold left, just cover the decals and airbrush just enough gold over the bad spots to cover them and clearcoat it again. I've had to do this a few tiles and it can work well. 2
Dennis M Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 What a beauty' that color makes the decals pop. 2
doorsovdoon Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Nice vintage kit. Shame the clearcoat didn't work out, looks a gorgeous colour. 1

kelson Posted July 16, 2022 Author Posted July 16, 2022 Well... it's been a few months, but i'm back working on this build, interior is almost complete, paint is Tamiya matt black,i used various decals for the gauges and wood grain and some P/E to and embossing powder. 2
kelson Posted July 16, 2022 Author Posted July 16, 2022 (edited) I used wheels from a 69'vette,they were detailed using dullcote and vallejo black and Tamiya panel line and tires from a 68'chevelle. Edited July 16, 2022 by kelson spelling 3
kelson Posted July 16, 2022 Author Posted July 16, 2022 Lastly i went with the engine from a 69'camaro,the original was a glue blob, detailing engines has always been my weakest part of my builds but i'm trying to get better.? 3
bisc63 Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Cool to see you continuing this one. That interior is SHARP! 2
kelson Posted August 4, 2022 Author Posted August 4, 2022 Okay, back with a small update, test fitted the body and chassis,a few things need tweeking, was a little worried the Revell engine wouldn't fit,but it fits nicely. 5
kelson Posted August 4, 2022 Author Posted August 4, 2022 Masked the hood and sprayed the louvers with Molotov chrome and the tail panel still needs detailing.?Getting close to the finish line. 2
ea0863 Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 Quite the stunner so far. Looking forward to seeing it completed! 2
Slotto Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 Damn shes beautiful! My buddy had a 68 in that color with white interior and a white convertible top. 2
mustang1989 Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 What a beautiful color on that car Curtis. I'm catching up to a couple of points on this build. The interior has a really well detailed look to it and is set off with the different shades and lusters of black to add depth and that engine detailing is going to make that whole engine bay area shine!! Just a quick observation but you may want to take a Q-tip to polish out that fingerprint on the driver's side rocker cover. Fantastic work going into this ride. 1
slusher Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 Love the color and Red line tires ? on your Camaro, Curtis! 2
