I put in a few more hours on this. 
 

I scratch built the rails and they just need to be chromed.

I also painted the boom and added the chain and hook.

The handrails are solid styrene rods and the mounts are tubing that I sanded down. I drilled holes in the bed edge and slid the rod inside.

Thanks. I'll be using that same tech on future project. I build 1930's and '40's travel trailer models in 1/25 and some have roof racks for luggage storage. That will work very well for replicating those.

Your great project has inspired me to gather parts and materials for a similar build using a 37 Ford pickup and military tires- this may end up as part of my Blue Ox Salvage collection.
