Another Camaro project started. This time it's the convertible by Revell. Painted Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red.

Here it is before the paint, mocked up with a set of AMT Firestone tires and Revell 69 Nova SS wheels.

I finally figured out what is wrong with the Revell SS wheels, they are molded without the trim rings installed. A set of these from the AMT 69/70 Chevelle kit looks much better. They are the ones I'm using on the Revell 69 Chevelle.

I agree with everyone else on the paint color and finish. Looks great and very fitting for a Camaro.

That and the wheel offset is too shallow. The ones in the Chevelles are deep and easily represent the 15x7.5 inch rims used on these muscle cars.

You all know how it is, you shoot a model. Think it's great, share pics. Then you look a bit more closely and discover that paint job was not that good. Yeah. I needed to wet sand the Camaro convertible and put some more coats on it. Here is the finished product.
