RDean58 Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Another Camaro project started. This time it's the convertible by Revell. Painted Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red. Here it is before the paint, mocked up with a set of AMT Firestone tires and Revell 69 Nova SS wheels. I finally figured out what is wrong with the Revell SS wheels, they are molded without the trim rings installed. A set of these from the AMT 69/70 Chevelle kit looks much better. They are the ones I'm using on the Revell 69 Chevelle. Thanks, all comments welcomed. 1
TransAmMike Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Wow Robert, you sure nailed that paint job. Beeee-u-tiful?
NOBLNG Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Wow that is bright! It is going to look fantastic when the trim is done.?
espo Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 I agree with everyone else on the paint color and finish. Looks great and very fitting for a Camaro.

The ones in the Chevelles are deep and easily represent the 15x7.5 inch rims used on these muscle cars.
RDean58 Posted May 14, 2022 Author Posted May 14, 2022 You all know how it is, you shoot a model. Think it's great, share pics. Then you look a bit more closely and discover that paint job was not that good. Yeah. I needed to wet sand the Camaro convertible and put some more coats on it. Here is the finished product.
