landman Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 There have been many Hot Rod Lincolns. Some lincolns with Lincoln or other engines, many Fords with Lincoln engines etc. My first one was a 1934 Ford with a Lincoln 430 with 6 Strombergs. This one will be a 1941 Zephyr with a fuel injected, Ardun V12. Mr.MacLeod will likely recognize the car. 1
landman Posted June 7, 2022 Author Posted June 7, 2022 The unpainting is progressing. One possible rear end needs wider spring spacing or, I could adapt a NASCAR rear end.
landman Posted June 9, 2022 Author Posted June 9, 2022 Looking over the stripped body, it would appear that this isn't its first restoration. It appears to have had the front pushed in and the windshield header was definitely broken once. It was repaired with home made "glass".
landman Posted June 9, 2022 Author Posted June 9, 2022 Looked in the windshield drawer and there is one which might work.
landman Posted June 12, 2022 Author Posted June 12, 2022 (edited) Set the rear track. Now playing with the stance. Hind end too high? Edited June 12, 2022 by landman
landman Posted June 12, 2022 Author Posted June 12, 2022 This is likely better, however it looks like I'll have to enlarge the front wheel openings.
landman Posted June 15, 2022 Author Posted June 15, 2022 (edited) Enlarged the front wheel openings. It turns out that the new spring spacing puts one right where the molded in exhaust sits. So I removed some of it. Edited June 15, 2022 by landman
landman Posted June 15, 2022 Author Posted June 15, 2022 This will be a Continental with no continental spare.
landman Posted June 29, 2022 Author Posted June 29, 2022 the original seats sere removed to be replaced by Grand National buckets with a sort of matching rear seat. The steering wheel will be a 3D printed item by 3D Model Specialties (Ron Olsen).
slusher Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 I like the seats and steering wheel up grade, very nice.. 1
David G. Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Nice progress. This will be one great looking model when it's done. David G. 1
mrm Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 (edited) Silly question, but has an Ardun head ever existed for the Lincoln V12 or is this purely a fantasy in 1/25th scale? Looks super cool either way. Edited July 3, 2022 by mrm

David G. Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Gee, I wonder if that engine will be able to move enough air! ? Looks to be a fun build! David G. 1
