keyser
@Gramps46 may have some as well. Compellingly ugly car. Neat.
Oldcarfan27
I'll bet that'll deliver the bread in a hurry!
Gramps46
I think Steelers43 Fotki site has captured just about all the photos that I have and have been posted here and elsewhere. The History of CSX 2001 is fascinating having been assembled in the Ed Hugus shop in Pittsburg and sold to a Dr. in Pennsylvania and then sold to Europe for racing. After many body changes it ended up with Bruce Meyers in CA and restored though not in its original shape. Wait I did find this photo in my files not in Fotki and might be useful for front end detail. Edited July 18, 2022 by Gramps46

cobraman
Thanks to all for the replies. I am pretty interested in this version of the car. I would like to try and build it or close to it but must admit I don't think I have the talent to pull it off. I may have to give it a try ! cobraman
I see that JC had this project in the works. I rediscovered his post a bit ago. He seemed to almost have it finished. Much better job than my meager talents could do. I may have to rethink this project. 😄
Jantrix
I wonder if this was a "hey that's interesting" response to the 1961 Ferrari Breadvan?
cobraman
Seems very likely. I'm still going to try this at some point. I have a bunch of Cobras so no big deal if I mess one up. If I can't make the roof I guess I will still have the rest of the kit. 😄
keyser
The odd wagon roof from amt 67 Vette convert may help. Similar. Looks like JP may have used 39 Panel.

Gramps46
Another option is to carve a form, it is a simple shape, and do a heat and smash. That's what I did for the Le Mans top.
keyser
Gary, love that little car. Great build. Uncle Norm's wheels It looks like?
Gramps46
2 minutes ago, keyser said: Uncle Norm's wheels It looks like? The wheels were castings from one of the Indy car kits, I think. The top and the wheels predated Norm and Brads efforts.
keyser
I forgot. We pre-date dirt I think. Prob AMT Locust. I was trying to decide, looked a bit diff than his, but had to ask.
cobraman
Interesting. I do have the kits JC used for his model so I may go for it. Thanks to his WIP for this car there is a lot info on what he did. Don't know if he ever finished it.
cobraman
I started modifying the roof from the AMT kit today. If it turns out ok I will start a WIP and start modifying the body from the Sunny kit.
Oldcarfan27
It's a pretty straight shape, probably easy enough to bend a sheet of .040 plastic or aluminum to get the basic shape and then file the curves front and rear.
cobraman
I may try something like that.
