I can agree to a point, as long as it's not a glossy black.

I can do these wheels all day long!

(Is my age showing?) :D

Just about my favorite wheel. Had them on my 2004 Mustang GT

I actually like some of the newer solid colors. I just don't usually them on what they're on. Metallics and pearls have been done to death IMHO, and they're mostly a royal pain to match for an undetectable repair.

The dark gray "shiny primer" some folks seem to hate is very similar to a color Porsche used on the 356 and early 911, and good ol' Steve Mcqueen's personal car, shown at the beginning of Le Mans motoring through France, looks great to me. It's a very subtle color, and shows off the curves and volumes of the clean, early 911 without screaming "LOOK AT ME!!!!"

There are a couple of interesting grayish blues I like too, colors I'm considering using on my own 911.

But taste is a wholly individual matter. You like what you like, I'll like what I like, and I don't care what anybody else thinks. At all.

Ehh, to each their own.

Personally I hate chrome. I strongly dislike any kind of wood on an interior. And I don't like stripes or graphics much. Even the "classic" stripes on a Cobra or Camaro.

And I much prefer the plain, non-metallic paint.

I do like dark wheels though. Made sure my current truck had the Sport Appearance package, which eliminates all exterior brightwork, and has the dark grey wheels. And it's plain white.

And because I typically get a new truck every year, I've already ordered myself a 2023 F150. Will have the Black Appearance package, which includes black wheels. And it's Avalanche Grey in colour, which looks like clearcoated primer. ?

Any -- okay, most -- 1980's and 1990's  customising "touches" are gross, beginning with blacked-out windscreen trim, backlight trim, etc., and culminating with the billet phase, with everything in between (most Pro Street ridiculum, Parker Lewis Can't Lose graphics, and Centerline et al. wheels).

Many of the 1980's "restorations" were little more than taking an original car and "spicing it up" with ugly wheels, deeply-tinted glass, red paint, anodised rocker arm covers, butchered dashboards for a new stereo receiver, braided hoses, and other garbage "treatments".

That was the ultimate yuppie poseur accessory in the part of town I lived in then.

Funny how they never caught on that if there wasn't coax running to a matching part inside the glass, it was an obvious fake to anybody with half a brain.

I still see those hideous wipers around! I don't know where these freaks are finding them!

The "tack"-on phone antennas were fun. My friend had one on his clapped-out 1973 Duster -- there wasn't a straight panel on that car!

Walrusmart still sells 'em, and I've seen fake GPS and OnStar-ish antennas too.

Any fake back-up cameras or auto braking stick-on items yet?

The trends i hate around here are

1.Jacked up trucks in the front like they think there in a big rig.

2.Lights on the inside of rims and usually 1 &2 are combined.

3.Dudes that mess with there trucks and cars that are super loud and annoying that sound like dirt bikes.

4.Modern & older cars on 30+ inch rims looking like hot wheels.

The way the light hits your truck it almost looks like a grey now lol.  I bet the avalanche grey will look beautiful.  Grey is my favorite color almost all shades of it lol.

Looks like they're squatting to pee!

Yeah it's horrible around the scotland county area.  Some of them look cool, but i think it's just dumb.

One trend I'm sick to death of is the gasser treatment. They're like a Donk, only with smaller wheels. They were cool in the '60s. But, that was 60 years ago! I would rather drive a Donk!

Another is steel wheels and hubcaps! Anyone not around in the '60's thinks every muscle car came from the factory with them! There isn't more of a "me too" trend around.

God, no! I never understood the reasoning for those 20 inch rims. They’re the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen.

I read about it a while back. Something to do with bumper height and the headlights.

OK, Steve, that looks pretty good, I bet it rides nice and smooth too. I think this is the look you should go with on your Bonneville.
