Daryl Romain
I'm trying to build replicas of the 15, or so, cars I've owned in my life, over the past 50 years. I've got about 8 of those done. This was the most difficult to replicate, so far. I've seen this body 3D printed but not until after I had almost completed mine. I used Revell '83-ish Cutlass headlight bezels, hood center, trunk lid, taillights and 5.0 V8 motor and trans; transplanted them into, and onto, a Revell '84-ish Caddy DeVille lowrider, and then modified everything to fit. Made the grille from a Pepsi can, Going to redo the chrome on the headlight bezels. Edited August 13, 2022 by Daryl Romain
ybsluos
Daryl, that came out beautiful. Very nice and clever use of a Pepsi can for the grille. I look forward to more of your replicas!. -Mark

rsmodels
Very nice Daryl. I don't think I've ever seen an 81 Olds built. Thanks for posting!

Claude Thibodeau
Hi Daryl! Well, Sir, this is a formidable mash-up and scratchbuilt challenge, and you pulled it off. Bravo! CT
Daryl Romain
Thank you. I took it on as a challenge. I had a real one, this color, about 40 years ago. I'm trying to replicate all of my cars, past and present, about 15 total. This was the last one to get. Couldn't figure out how to make one, until I saw somebody on a 'donk' page do one.
