Days of Thunder currently not available on any of the streaming services.

And that's why we still have a membership in our town's last remaining movie rental place!

Picked it up last night, week long rental for $2.

?

WOW, I thought all those went the way of the manual transmission. I have not seen either available in a long time.

I have it on DVD, probably haven’t watched it in 20 years. I remember seeing it in the theatre, fun popcorn film.  Talledega Nights is a lot of fun also.

Pretty sure I saw it on HBO/MAX two weeks ago. If not there, I would have seen it on Netflix, and I don't remember running it at 1.5X speed. (Netflix has completely spoiled me for that feature.)

Yeah, he's an independent store. The only one in the area as far as I know. Awesome selection. He scours the internet buying used DVD and Blu-Ray collections. Plus he has an amazing selection of new releases too.

We watched DOT last night. The kiddies (15 and 18) found it amusing.

I forgot just how little plot the movie actually has. lolz

But it was still awesome!

I hate to admit it, but it kinda is. B)

Loved the scene where Duval is talking Cruise through the wall of smoke and dust. I swear I was expecting him to say, "Use the force, Luke!"

How about when Duval tells him to go out and run into the Pace Car on the Yellow, since he had run into every other car on the track?

One of the funniest lines in the whole movie. "You've hit everything else out there, and I want you to be perfect!"

"You can't pit now.  We're eatin' ice cream." ?

Reminded me of Donald Sutherland in Kelly's Heroes: "We're drinking some wine, eating some cheese, catching some rays...." :lol::lol:

Donald Sutherland as 'Oddball' in KH.  Great movie character. a sort of WW2 Hippy.

Wasn't 'Negative Waves. I keep getting Negative Waves!' one of his catch phrases?

While Donals Southerland was not in the Day of Thunder movie, He was sort of an underappreciated actor especially if you needed an actor to play the part of an unusual or unique caricature.  Can you Imagin being in WW II with him as your Tank Commander?
